Position Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join our growing team in Tauranga at our Waste Transfer Station.
As part of this team, you will be responsible for the safe and tidy operation of the site. This is a permanent role which includes operating excavators, loaders and materials handlers to fill trucks and bins. The main duties will be on-site ensuring the plant operates smoothly while shifting material around the site. Part of this role will be maintaining the buildings and grounds in a clean and tidy fashion. Some flexibility in start and finish time is a must.
Our ideal candidate would have the following:
- Machine Operator experience with wheels and tracks
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferable
- Relevant transport industry knowledge and experience
- Self-motivated and works to deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate
- Proven problem solving skills
- A good level of fitness
- Class 2 or 4 licence will be an advantage
